Live Blackjack

It’s all about 21 in everyone's favourite live casino game, Live Blackjack.

The game is hosted by our live dealers and allows up to seven players to play at a time. Standard Blackjack features like Doubling Down, Insurance and Splitting are all available in this version of the classic Casino game.

A unique aspect of our Live Blackjack game is the range of optional side bets available – from Perfect Pairs to 21+3. The Perfect Pairs bet gives you the chance to win if the first two cards you are dealt make up a pair, while the 21+3 bet will award a payout if your two cards and the dealer’s face-up card form a poker hand.

Don't worry if the Live Blackjack table is full, players also have the option to Bet Behind another player in the game. The ‘Hot Player’ icon indicates which of the players are on a winning streak to give you a better idea of which hands you may want to back.

    Live Blackjack Game Overview

Live Blackjack is hosted by a dealer and allows up to 7 players to play at a time. The game is played with eight standard 52-card decks, with the card values as follows –

    • Cards from 2 to 10 are worth their face value
    • Face cards are each worth 10
    • Aces are worth 1 or 11, whichever is more favourable to the hand.

After the allotted betting time has expired, the dealer will deal one card face up to each player. The value of your initial hand is displayed next to your cards.

    Blackjack

If the value of your original two-card hand is exactly 21, you have Blackjack and will be paid out 150% of your original bet.

    Insurance

If the dealer shows an Ace, you will be given the option to purchase insurance to offset the risk of the dealer having Blackjack. Insurance costs half of your original bet.

If the dealer has Blackjack then you will receive your entire bet back, but if they don’t then your insurance bet will be lost and your hand will continue as normal.

    Double Down, Hit or Stand

You are given the chance to improve your hands in turn, as the dealer moves clockwise around the table. If the value of your initial hand is not 21, you can choose to Double Down. This sees you double your original bet as just one additional card is added to your original hand.

Alternatively, you can decide to Hit, which will deal you another card to add to your hand. You can hit more than once to receive additional cards before you decide to Stand once you are happy with the value of your hand.

    Split

If your initial hand is a pair of cards of equal value then you will have the option to split the pair to make two separate hands – you must place another bet equal to your original one to cover the new hand.

After a second hand is dealt to both your hands, you can improve the value of these two hands by using the Hit option before you stand.

However, if you split a pair of Aces then you will only receive one additional card per hand with no option to hit again.

    Side Bets

Live Blackjack includes optional side bets - Perfect Pairs and 21+3. You have the option to place these bets in combination with your main Blackjack bet.

    Perfect Pairs

The Perfect Pairs bet gives you the chance to win if your first two cards comprise any pair – there are three different types of pairs, each with a different payout.

    • Perfect Pair - same suit
    • Coloured Pair - different suits of the same colour
    • Mixed Pair - different suits

    21+3

The 21+3 bet gives you the chance to win if your first two cards plus the dealer’s upcard comprise any of the following winning combinations –

    • Suited Trips - an identical triplet (e.g) 3 Queens of Hearts
    • Straight Flush - in numerical sequence and the same suit
    • Three of a Kind - same value but different suits
    • Straight - in numerical sequence but different suits
    • Flush - same suit

    Bet Behind

The ‘Bet Behind’ feature allows you to bet on a hand dealt to another player. You will share the outcome of the other player’s hand when you choose this option. The payouts for this wager are the same as with ordinary bets.

    Hot Player

The ‘Hot Players’ icon helps you determine which of your fellow Blackjack players is on the longest winning streak.

The number within the gold medal indicates the number of consecutive rounds that a player has won. As soon as a ‘Hot Player’ loses a hand they will lose their gold medal icon.

    Payouts

Blackjack pays 3 to 2. A winning hand pays 1 to 1. If the dealer has Blackjack, insurance pays 2 to 1.

    Multi-Game Play

If you enjoy non-stop action, you can join up to four different game tables at the same time and view them all in the same browser window.

After you have joined multiple tables, you will be able to resize your browser window as a whole, but you will not be able to resize each game table window separately.

    Chat

You can chat with the dealer and other players while you play on Live Roulette. Enter your message in the ‘Click to Chat’ field and press ‘Enter’ to send your message.

If the box is not already shown in the full display, you will be able to use the ‘Chat’ button to enlarge it.

    Return to Player (RTP)

The optimal theoretical payout percentage is:

    Blackjack - 99.28%

    Perfect Pairs Bet - 95.90%

    21+3 Bet - 96.30%

The expected return is the amount we pay out to players relative to the amount of wagering on the game.

For example, if we take £100 of wagers we will, on average pay out £99.28 of wins in Blackjack, £95.90 on Perfect Pairs bets, and £96.30 on 21+3 bets.
