Baccarat

Baccarat is the high-rolling card game that will bring a touch of Monte Carlo glamour to your living room.

The challenge of Baccarat is to bet on the outcome of a game between the player and the banker – the hand that totals closest to 9 is the winner. You can bet on your hand, the dealer’s hand or even a tie, which pays out at 8/1.

    Baccarat Game Overview

The challenge when you play Baccarat online is to bet on the outcome of a game between the player and the banker - the hand that totals closest to 9 will win!

In Baccarat, you have the option to bet on the player, on the banker, on the tie, or on any combination of those three options.

    Values of the Cards

The cards in Baccarat are valued as follows:

    - 10, Jack, Queen and King all have a value of 0

    - 2-9 have their normal value

    - Aces have a value of 1

If the sum of the cards is higher than 10 then only the second number is considered - so 18 would be 8 and so on. This also means that scores of 10 or 20 both count as 0.

    How to Bet

The player and the banker are each given two cards to start a game of Baccarat.

If either has a hand with a score of 8 or 9 then no more cards will be dealt.

    • Select chip size - Select a chip size by clicking on one of the chips shown on the game screen. The chip sizes available in Baccarat are £1, £5, £25, £100 and £500.
    • Placing bets - Place a bet by clicking on a chip and then clicking within a bet box.
    • Removing bets - Click the ‘Undo’ button to remove the last chip you placed.
    • Clear bets - Click ‘Clear Bets’ to remove all the bets from the table.
    • Deal - Click ‘Deal’ to start your game of Baccarat.
    • Rebet - Clicking ‘Rebet’ will repeat your bet from the previous game.

    What is Baccarat?

Two cards will initially be dealt to the player and bank on the Baccarat table.

If either of the hands scores 8 or 9 then it is a ‘natural’ hand and both hands stand.

If the sum of the player’s hand is 5 or less then it will be dealt another card. If the player does not draw a third card then the bank will stand on any score of 6 or more.

    Baccarat Odds

    - Bet on Banker & Banker wins - 1:1 (minus 5% commission)

    - Bet on Tie & Tie wins - 8:1
